What a long, strange trip it's been [at the Capitol]. The recently concluded session saw a mix of progressive wins such as codifying ballot issues on freedom to marry and protecting abortion rights, as well as some shocking anti-worker and anti-environment bills brought forward with varying degrees of success. For the first time in our history, we chose to oppose a bill as our priority bill, HB25-1208, the tip theft bill. The majority of tipped workers are women, and that's who will be harmed.
